Chris Mainwaring an Australian Rules Football player died from suspected overdose.Chris Mainwaring played in the AFL and played with the West Coast Eagles. A former West Coast Eagles Player in the AFL passed away at the age of 41, he was rushed to hospital after midnight after collapsing at home. He was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital from his home in Cottesloe. Sources have stated that Chris Mainwaring showed symtoms of drug use that night it has not been confrimed as the main cause of death.
Chris Mainwaring played in both grand finals in 1992 and 1994 against geelong. He originated from Western Australia and played with East Fremantle Football club in the Western Australia Football League. There has been a history of Mainwaring being caught taking drugs. He was caught smoking Cannabis when playing football with the Eagles and was arrested. At the present moment information released has been minimal as to how and when Chris Mainwarings died.
